Setting out

After 2 years in Madrid I moved to Villena, Alicante, where I live now, near my family. My sister has remodelled an old farmhouse and has turned it into a B&B, Mas Fonda . There I have set up my workshop. I have a Raku kiln outside, but I have been planning to have an Anagama kiln since I arrived. Finally the construction of the wood kiln will happen this year.

Pink and Blue edition

Devil & Angel

Moon Lady

These sculptures belong to an edition from 2004 in Madrid. They are about the human condition. The good and evil inside us. All depending on what we´ve experienced in life shaken with a little gene work. We express this by being shy, naïve, pretentious, confident or modest. Some more awake than others. Some still in their unreal world of childhood. Hope and curiosity always keeping us alive.

Peace Warriors 2001

These sculptures belong to the Dreamer edition. A group of sculptures which look at the future with hope, regardless of wars, corruption and illtreatment. Influenced on African and Aboriginal Art, as I am most attracted to these powerful and still so primitive artistic representations.

These sculptures were fired in an Anagama type wood kiln at The University of Westminster. We were a group of 5 firing in different shifts. The firings took from 48-52h. Nic Collins came to give us a hand once at a firing near the end of year 3. John Butler, one of the Anagama 5, has designed a kiln that can be fired in 25-30h, due to his innovative energy saving design.
